We’re all familiar with the maxim, “That which gets measured, gets done.” In the same vein, I’d like to offer another important maxim; this one falls under the heading of power writing skills. The new maxim goes like this: “If you want results from your writing, first you must be read.”
The Laws of E-commerce
Richard D S Hill
E-commerce is about converting visitors to your site into customers. A bricks and mortar shop has to work hard to get a prospect to make a special visit or passing prospects to enter. Then the visitor has an investment in the visit. This means that they are quite likely to make a purchase. On the web, visiting your store needs just a single mouse click. This also means that there is little investment and they can just as easily move to another site.
Here's the formula that I use to quickly write informative articles that get results. For many of the articles that I write, my goal is to get visitors to a website where they take some action related to the topic of the article. Often the action that they take is to buy some product that I recommend.
Do existing businesses need money? Probably. Is this a time to start a business? Maybe. In either case, the business plan you write today will be different than the one you wrote five years ago. Five years ago money was available. It is still there, but it is a lot harder to find, and to tie down. Here are the five keys to getting funding now.
