SEO or PPC?
Richard D S Hill
Which is better: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or Pay per Click (PPC)? In our opinion, the best approach is to combine SEO and PPC. During the initial period of site promotion, PPC carries an advantage because good listings can be achieved in 3-6 working days. Organic listings take longer to achieve. What are SEO and PPC and how exactly do they help your business?

You rarely get a second chance with first impressions. Not only does this apply in personal relationships it also applies in the world of website design. As I traverse the World Wide Web, I found sites that have been thoroughly impressive and others not so much. You would be surprised at the lack of understanding of the first impression principle.

I've seen it way too many times: marketers of all skill and experience levels making profit-killing mistakes. The result is badly performing marketing campaigns. But the good news is that many of these mistakes are avoidable with proper knowledge, planning and continuous testing and tweaking. Here are 6 marketing landmines you'll want to avoid if you want to maximize your profits and grow your business.
If you are in business in a network marketing program you are always on the lookout for those hot interested leads. The truth is that there are plenty of people looking for something to change their current situation. In many cases, what you have to offer is just what they are looking for whether they know it or not. And despite all of the competition, there are plenty of interested potential business partners to go around for everyone. Believe it!
Creativity. This is one virtue a site must possess to lead the race in the ruthless competition in the Internet-based business. With so much competition and rivalry, every method of marketing must be employed and utilized. It doesn't matter if you have a killer product or a fantastically designed website, if people don't know that you exist, it doesn't matter. Worst of all, your business could just get killed.
A few weeks ago I decide to join another marketing program to build my income. The plan is solid and the opportunity to achieve my goals is there. I'm happy with the program and what it has to offer. Unfortunately I'm not very happy with my progress. Being new at this particular program but not new at marketing, I didn't pay very much attention to the details. In particular, the marketing plan.

FAST FACT:
Today, the US is home to 1 out of 3 millionaires of the world. There are 10 million people worldwide with assets of at least $1 million. The super-rich, or those people with at least $30 million in assets, grew to 103,000 in 2007, 9 percent more than in 2006. The millionaire’s club represents less than one-fifth of 1% of the world’s population.
It has been said many times by many different people that the world has the financial resources to end hunger and poverty. There is just no political or social “will” to overcome the greed of the few.

Depending on visits a website receives (traffic generation) they either survive or not. The more visitors a web site has, the more likely is to survive and the business to grow. This is the reason that drives Internet marketers to constantly find new ways to get the attention of their targeted audience.

There is a popular saying in business: "You need money in order to get money". You have to invest some of your money before you can earn more money. This is true whether you are running a brick and mortar business or you have decided to get aboard the Internet revolution. However, not everyone has the resources required to get an online business running within a reasonably short period of time. This makes it imperative to find other ways to drive traffic to your site without paying a lot of money.

A personal look at the art of leadership through the eyes of a softball coach. I once remember my dad saying to me that the most important things you learn in life are those things you learn once you thought you knew it all. I never really acknowledged the importance or the natural impact of that statement, until I coached women’s softball.
How customers view you or your products is garnered by a framework of assumptions, stories and images in their minds. If you really want to influence someone, your first task is to understand how they think. An individual's perspective on the world can be identified and "mapped."
What is the physiology of success? Think of a person who would generally be considered successful, maybe a politician, motivational speaker or actor. What sets them apart? They step onto stage or walk into a meeting and everyone just knows. They are something special.

FAST FACTS:
Would you find it amazing to learn that adults, when given options, find that “a man and woman having sex” is more offensive than “a graphically severed human head” or “multiple use of the F-word?” In a survey of adults regarding the content of video games accessible by their children, 37 percent found heterosexual sex more offensive than 2 men kissing (27%), a severed head (26%) or the frequent use of the F-word (10%). There doesn’t seem to be any research to support that viewing sex leads to adolescent sex but there is evidence to support that viewing violence can lead to adolescent violence (including bullying).
How can the American culture reconcile its fascination with violence and still insist it is Christian nation? The New Testament is centered on peace and unconditional love. Can you name a war from the past 21 centuries (World War II could be an exception) that wasn’t a result of politicians fighting a war in the name of Christianity?
On-The-Side: More Magazine is launching a contest to reinvent the F-word to more positive words such as funny, family, fearless, fabulous and so on.
