Before sharing with you some general advice about principles of oral or spoken communication, I am assuming that you know that great presentations take hours, sometimes days, of dedicated preparation. I do realize that if you make presentations to clients on a regular basis and it's only the actual content that changes, you won't have to spend a great deal of time preparing after the first couple of times. However, I base all my seminars on the principle that to present at your best, you must be prepared to prepare; both your material and your self.
Trevor Marshall
Today, a great significance is being given to Performance Management, as companies incorporate the ideas into their effective management strategies. However, a lot of people find this process a complicated one, mostly because of the many options that it offers - on the organization, a specific department/branch, a product or service, and on employees, among others.
Gary M. Miller
In this fast changing, struggle-filled world, there are two kinds of people; those who see only the bad and those who see a whole lot more. Which person are you? It's easy to see the bad and you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know there are problems out there. It's harder to see beyond the bad and into a world of promise and a better life. Basically, are you a pessimist or an optimist?
Larry Tobin
As many people have commented at one time or another, we could get so much more done if there were just more hours in the day. So what's the problem? To be entirely fair without being harsh, we are the problem. More accurately, it's our inability to say no. If reducing stress is the goal, it's time that we learn to use the power of a well phrased 'no.'

Gone are the days when you had to open a separate account for each of your websites. Over the past few years website owners have been able to enjoy the various advantages offered by multiple domain hosting services.

Twitter's strengths as a messaging service come from the fact that the messages are short, and the service is easy to use. An example of a basic concept is the retweet, which is sending a tweet one likes or approves of to his/her list of followers. Retweets account for a lot of Twitter traffic, and form a major part of the site's ability to promote viral content. If a retweet gathers enough steam, it can make the rounds of the entire web in a matter of minutes.

A couple weeks ago, one of my clients sent me an email with this question: "I've been checking out a couple programs that say I can make lots of money by including affiliate links on my website. I could really use the extra cash right now. What do you think?"
Chris Malta & Robin Cowie
Unfortunately, for every useful, educational seminar you can find, there's an equally worthless one created to part you and your money. When a seminar speaker offers you an easy all-in-one Internet solution, or promises you overnight riches for very little work, you need to hold onto your wallet. Don't buy anything on impulse; at the very least, sleep on it. No matter what they tell you, if you can get it at this "special" price today, you can probably get it for the same price tomorrow and next week too. These are usually high pressure situations, and you can really help yourself if you just get away and get some perspective.

Unlike extroverts, who thrive on social interaction, introverts recharge their batteries by being alone. They tend to be more private, quiet and to-the-point than extroverts. Here are 7 types of marketing pitches that are common in Internet marketing - and elsewhere – that leave introverts cold.
Chris Malta & Robin Cowie
Understanding how visitors will view your sales message, and how they'll respond to it, is a challenging prospect for online retailers. But studying consumer behavior can help you make adjustments to your marketing campaign that will improve your click through rate and help you convert more shoppers into buyers.

According to researchers, the percentage of introverts gets higher as you go up the income scale, so if you work with the affluent or with those in professions that attract quiet workers, you're more likely to run into them. As clients, they may require special interpersonal measures - particularly if you have backslapping, chatty, everyone's-a-friend tendencies.
Jamie Lee
An effective sales funnel design is instrumental to maximizing conversion. The average web visitor would give you a mere 3 seconds before deciding to press the Back button of his browser. If you succeed in capturing his attention, you gain an additional 30 seconds where he will evaluate your value proposition. Finally, you will have an additional 3 minutes to persuade him to perform a particular action.
David Hayes
Are you skeptical by nature? Do you believe anything someone will tell you as long as they are willing to put it in writing? Do you read your junk mail before tossing it out? No matter how you answer these questions, you are fair game for one or more marketing scams currently in circulation on the Internet or via ads through magazines.
Terri Seymour
One of the first steps when starting your online business is making a website. This website is your place of business and must be treated as such. Your potential customers will visit your site and decide within seconds if they will stay or go. Turning these quick browsers into buyers is one of the major obstacles in building your new business.

You talk about how you want something different in your life – a new house, a better relationship with your spouse (or to find a spouse), get out of debt, or lose weight – but nothing changes. You find that you spend (waste) a lot of time talking about it, but not doing anything about it. How do you motivate yourself to change? There are two ways people will change, either by choice or by force. Neither one is very pretty.
Ron Fory
The art of leadership is sought by virtually everyone. It is claimed by many, defined by a few, and exercised by the unheralded, depending on the source you use. In spite of all the leadership texts, containing a veritable plethora of theories about leadership (each of which is THE KEY), leadership remains a very individual concept, exercised in many diverse yet successful ways. Indeed, successful application always results in leadership. Unsuccessful application is invariably counter-productive.
Rene Graeber
Everyone has some sort of fear. It may be brought about by any one or more of the following reasons:
1) By a traumatic past incident (like being bitten by a dog)
2) By the influence of other people
3) By their own negative way of thinking
But are you going to let fear take over your life? Will you remain a hostage of your fear forever?
