An Introduction to Value Science
Julie Fuimano, MBA, BSN, RN, CSAC
You have thousands of thoughts that float through your mind all day, every day. How do you sort through them all to determine which thoughts are good ones? How do you detach from your thoughts and learn new ways of thinking? How do you even know which thoughts need changing?
We often talk about coaching and mentoring being key ingredients to effective leadership. Two thoughts come to my mind every time I hear the words coach and mentor. My first thought is that it is very rare for any organization to provide actual training on how to coach or mentor employees. It is often up to the individual as a leader to figure that out. My second thought is the realization that most of our actions toward our employees come naturally as a result of the kind of leadership model we have personally created.
We all dread the meeting invitation, not because of the content but because a majority of meetings we have to attend are so poorly run. You know a good productive meeting vs. the unstructured, why am I here, one. You have the ability to hold a productive meeting and influence a poorly run meeting headed in the right direction by implementing a basic strategy.
Let's face it. There are certain aspects of our business that we dislike. For you, it might be making cold calls, bookkeeping or brainstorming creative ideas. But regardless of the tasks we'd like to avoid, they are most likely things that will need to be done at some point.

Before you build your website, you should research what makes a website attractive to visitors. A website's appeal has a lot to do with simple website design. Creating a poorly-designed website can have adverse effects, such as repelling visitors and damaging your online credibility. Follow these five do's and don'ts to ensure you design a website that emulates good usability from a visitor's perspective.
You've got to hand it to identity thieves for their diabolical ingenuity but it sure would be nice if they would channel their energies into something more productive. Here's the latest scam making the e-rounds but this one has an unusual, and unfortunately effective, twist to it.
Your hard drive (hard disk) is one of the most important components of your computer. You have to understand, in today's day and age, the secure storage of data is very important in both the home and business setting. Thus, it is very important to ensure that your hard disk is in proper running condition at all times. This should be done to avoid the corruption of the hard disk, thereby losing valuable information during the process.
The Internet is such an unknown commodity anything is possible. One of the most intriguing questions concerns the idea of a perpetual traffic machine. Create a website and design a system of automatic programs (both interior and exterior) that delivers content and backlinks to a site that updates itself automatically and keeps growing without any help from the creator. In the process you build a flow of traffic that never stops, even if the site is abandoned or not touched for a couple of years or never again.

Network marketing success is sitting there, waiting for those with the vision and determination to go after it. No, this isn't MLM. There's no chasing anyone down dark alleys. This is marketing on the Internet, via advertising, affiliate sales, ebooks, ebay, Amazon, videos, courses, services and more. There are 7 steps that every successful network marketer needs to follow.
Beating the Competition
Robert Middleton
I was paging through one of my business magazines last week, when I came across a small ad that made me smile. The headline read: "Everything You've Ever Learned About Marketing Is WRONG!" But it was the subhead that really gave me a chuckle: "Beat Your Competition Into A Demoralized Quivering Pulp." Yes, you read that right. And the offer was for a free 2-CD Program. The picture in the ad was of an angry looking man (named Bill, apparently) wagging his finger at me.
As I travel from seminar to seminar and meet people new to Internet marketing, I witness a lot of people quickly discovering the power of setting up joint ventures. Many of these people understand that if they could get large list owners (and people with busy websites) to recommend their products, they could make a lot of sales really fast.
Get Instant Credibility!
Rochelle Melander
What credentials do you need to succeed in your field, a college degree or a PhD? What if you don't have either? Writing a book brings instant credibility. But that takes time. Plus, credibility is also built through regular, intelligent online marketing. You can gain credibility right now by reading voraciously and recommending what you've read to others. (Who knew that all those high school book reports would pay off?) Here's how to leverage your reading.

Are you a manager with too much time on your hands? Do you go home at the end of an eight hour day with boring regularity, leaving a clean desk and a clear conscience? Wouldn't you rather have NO discretionary time in your life? Here are five sure-fire tips to create fear in your employees and keep them from ever participating openly during problem solving discussions.
I read that something like 30 percent of all drinkable water gets wasted on the way to the consumer because of leaky pipes. Likewise, your business may have potential revenue drip away, to be lost forever. Use this checklist to make sure you are taking advantage of all the opportunities for earnings that would be arriving safely if you only plugged those holes.
Owning a business is complicated enough without having to deal with all the confusing acronyms and abbreviations that assault you at every turn. Take these two for example: Inc. and LLC. What do they mean to you and your business? Well, if you plan to make money in business, you'll want to protect that money, right? That's where Inc. or LLC comes in: these are your two choices for incorporating a business.
There are many types of business advisors --- financial, legal, insurance, special projects --- who can offer expertise in solving specific problems that inevitably face every business owner or budding entrepreneur. Employing specialty advisors on an individual basis has value when the business owner has accurately determined what the specific problem is. However, many business owners struggle with the process of determining just exactly what that problem is!

Each night before bed we can choose what we want to keep and what we want to release. We can become someone new, purely by the power of our thoughts and intentions. The toughest part is deciding exactly who we want to become, and having the courage to see it through! I am currently doing this in my own life. I'm pulling out the old, dust-caked parts of myself that I deemed unacceptable years ago and giving them another look. And I'm discovering they aren't so bad.
Confidence becomes a problem not only in public but it shoots up when an individual is supposed to undertake responsibilities in life. Every individual is a son or a daughter, a brother or a sister, a husband or a wife, an officer or a subordinate all in one at the same time. All these different faces fill him with various tasks that have to be undertaken with no failure.
Have you ever noticed the difference in people who are able to easily let go of resentment and forgive and those who stay in anger and blame? What I have noticed is that those who continue to stay in blame and resentment are often people who see themselves as victims of other people's choices. I've noticed that people who stay angry at someone are generally people who are very controlling and believe that they can control someone else's behavior through punishment - anger, withdrawal, withholding, blame, righteousness, judgment, and so on.
