Microsoft, not to be left out of the pay-per-click race, followed on the heels of Google Adwords and Yahoo Search Marketing with their own program called "Microsoft adCenter". While you may experience higher conversion rates than with Google or Yahoo, you'll also find less traffic. According to ComScore in Feb 2008, MSN sites had only 7.1% share of total Internet searches, compared to Google's 53.5% and Yahoo's 16.4%. On the plus side, it can be less expensive.

In anticipation of Jeff Walker's Product Launch Formula 2, I told my list that I was going to offer a solo mailing to one of my lists of over 120,000. This immediately started a flood of emails asking how they could order early, something that I anticipated. The second flood of emails asked how I had managed to build such a huge database. Rather than answering that second question in individual emails, I decided to answer it with this article.

It’s a fact: women are leaving corporate America to start their own businesses at twice the rate of men. Statistics show that over 75% of women-owned enterprises open for business in 1997 were still operating in 2000. That's about equal to the survival rate of all U.S. businesses. Recent data also indicates that women invest more in their businesses than do men. Women have it what takes to run and maintain successful operations.

Have you ever had this experience? You work hard on developing an offer for your product or service. Maybe you even ask a few people to take a look at your Web page or brochure to make certain they get your message. Then you send your offer out into the world. And you get no responses. Or a puny little trickle.

Recently I had to spend some time in a hospital waiting room. There were three tables with magazines and most were old and wrinkled. But two stood out for freshness and currency. The first thing I noticed was the subscription label for a local dentist. The label had his name and office and address. My first impression was "nice of him to supply magazines". My second impression was "wow, what a marketer!"

Most commercial webmasters enter the online sales process at a great disadvantage. The disadvantage is that they have never worked in sales, nor have they studied the fine art of copy writing. Many webmasters spend a considerable amount of time second-guessing about when and where to ask for the sale. Amazingly, many websites you visit will make a great case for its products or services, and still fail to ask for the sale. This happens primarily because the person writing the copy fears coming across as just another used car salesman.

Some of the most frequently asked questions I get from clients are "Why does my company need to do press releases? How will press releases benefit my SEO campaign?" Part of the answer is in the anatomy of an optimized press release. A properly optimized press release will include your top keywords as well as links to your website.
