Memes; funny word, big concept. Memes are essentially the building blocks for how we move through life. From "Where's the beef" to "Nice guys finish last", they are made up of ideas, behaviors, styles or usages that spread from person to person within a culture. They form the boundaries and limits we use to operate in the world. Through awareness and conscious choice, our memes can support and energize us to reach our goals and create a new reality--one of our own choosing.
How many times have you felt truly defeated by the circumstances in your life? You know, the "I don't know why I bother to keep trying, I'm going back to bed and staying there" feeling. It happens to everyone: housewives, corporate executives, rock stars, actors, world leaders. Each and every one of us has had a day when we felt that we just weren't able to cope with our daily lives.
Why is motivation important? Whether you are trying to achieve something yourself or lead others towards an achievement, the ability to be self-motivated or to motivate is crucial. When we meet people who are regarded as successful or high achievers, it is tempting to assume that they are innately self-driven or are natural leaders with high levels of motivational ability. This may well be the case but it is just as likely that they have learned and used some effective techniques for either motivating themselves or to motivate others.
Who is generation “R”? They are our retired mothers, fathers and even our grandparents who were born in the 20's and 30's. Why am I writing about this generation of people? Because I think there are 5 basic principles that were utilized by this generation to set themselves up for a very comfortable retirement and lifestyle in their senior years.
