Several years ago, in the early days of developing my home based business, I was mesmerized by the big numbers instead of focusing on targeting prospects. It took me a while to appreciate the importance of targeting (quality) instead of just going for the big numbers (quantity). Email marketing can be very effective if your email actually gets read. Unfortunately because of spam, many people will delete most of their email without ever reading it. This is why the subject line is important. Writing an effective and attention getting subject line will dramatically increase the chances of your email being opened and read and acted upon.
